The Strory of KURUNDA (PVT) LTD In the 1960s, M.Somapala Amaratunga an ambitious auto electrician from the southern coast of Sri Lanka followed his passion for the land and purchased a small cinnamon estate in the heart of Galle.

          What beagn as a modest venture soon flourished into KURUNDA (PVT) LTD, a symbol of dedication, family heritage, and the island’s rich agricultural tradition.

          Passed down through generations, the plantation continues to follow time-honoured practices- cultivating and hand-harvesting pure Ceylon cinnamon with care and respect for nature. Each true cinnamon you hold today carries not only the flavour of Sri Lanka’s finest spice but also the legacy of a man who believed in the power of honest work and the land he loved.
